Description: Max WAS adopted through our courtesy listing for Vicki in Asheville NC. “Hi! I am Max” I am a handsome, 7 ½ year old AKC registered, (neutered) 60 lb Siberian Husky. My first family left me alone for 3 years in their back yard anchored to a 30-foot cable strung between two trees. I was so glad when some really nice people, who drove by me every day, finally convinced my former owners to let me go live with them.
I love my new foster parents, but they already have a house full of “rescued” dogs and cats. I am a friendly and loving boy, but really don’t get along with cats, so my foster Mom and Dad are spending lots of time trying to find me a new GREAT home.
Fortunately, my new Vet said that I am very healthy, and now I take heartworm prevention and use Frontline for flee control. I also have a microchip – whatever that is!
I am a very energetic dog and love to do what all Siberian’s do, RUN! So, my new family needs a tall fenced yard to keep me safe. I also hope that they will let me sleep inside, take me jogging and hiking with them, and have children who are youth-aged or older. I like to play with other easy-going dogs who are close to my size, but no cats, please.
