BEFORE YOU GIVE YOUR DOG AWAY BECAUSE YOU
DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THE DOG ...
Your caring about not enough quality time is a human emotion.  We recently were able to help re-unite a lady with one of her dogs that she hated to give up but thought it was fair to the dog to find a family that could spend more time with the dog.  The new family was told to give the dogs back if they could not keep them. The couple which  included a veterinarian student ended up
abandoning the dog(s).   Misty  recently got her dog Mariah back, thanks to Beverly  in our rescue who happened to call the  veterinarians office on the rabies tag to check on any medical records. The workers at the vet's office  knew how much Misty and Glenn loved their dogs , as with broken hearts they tried to find a good home, and how sad they were to give up their dogs Mariah and Yanni.
Special  thanks to Newport TN animal shelter, for allowing
Misty and Glenn  to get  Yanni back.
Misty  said, "I will NEVER give my dogs to anyone ever again".
We believe GOD had HIS hand on this happening.
We all make mistakes in life; wishing we could go back and change a bad decision we made.  Most of us never get the chance to fix our bad decisions; even if
done out of love.    Below is a photo of Misty re-uniting with Mariah.

Letter to the rescue from another happy  adopter:
The past 5 plus years with Dakota have been the best.  For what his previous life was, he continues to be the sweetest and most wonderful dog in the world.  I don't know how so much love can live in one heart, but he never stops amazing me.  I think back to that poor trembling dog who moved in with us all those years ago, and now I see the bravest boy who has over come so much of his past.  Even now, at 12 1/2, he still loves to play with toys and goof around in the snow, even with his arthritis is flaring up.
He has been the greatest joy of our lives, and even now as an old man, he
continues to be a joy.  I just want to thank you and the folks that work with you for
all you do in bringing these wonderful animals to us.
Thanks for a wonderful experience!!!!  Kate  (Dakota pix below)

August 13, 2009  UPDATE:  Due to the economic situation we will lower our adoption fee from $150.00 to  $125.00.  The dogs are still spay/neutered and up on all shots.

We rescue Siberian Huskies from shelters in SW Virginia,
from Roanoke south to Knoxville Tennessee.
From April to end of May we've had over 35 calls to take someone's
Siberian Husky.  PLEASE do not get a siberian if your not understanding of the breeds characteristics.  See our husky education page.
We are presently full and in GREAT need of foster homes.
Any help is appreciated.

Another happy customer in 2009 ... Rosalee - now "Maya"

I just wanted to take a minute and let you know my husband and I were reflecting on 2009 and the many blessings we have been given and one of the best things that happened in 2009 was adopting (Rosalee) -We have named her Maya.

She is the best dog and she is working out with us great!  She is like our child and we just wanted you to know she is a blessing to us both!
